Without wasting any time, let’s begin with the review.
What Is Proofread Anywhere
Proofread Anywhere (PA) is an online course about proofreading that was launched in 2015. The brain behind this work is Caitlin Pyle, who’s also known as Caitlin Johanna.
This woman is also the co-founder of theworkanywherelife.com, together with her husband, Ben. Caitlin had a passion for proofreading and created a blog in 2007 to share her passion with other people from all over the world.
In 2014, she created a proofreading eBook and sold it on her website. As the eBook sales grew, Pyle was getting more and more questions from her readers.
Though she was happy to answer those questions and communicate with her readers, she found that they were taking a lot of time.
To save time and address those questions simultaneously, she expanded the eBook into a complete online course to cover everything about proofreading.
This includes general and transcript proofreading with numerous interactive modules and bonus materials on the same.
This turned out to be an opportunity, and in 2015, Pyle launched the course Proofread Anywhere.
By the end of that same year, she had made sales worth above $575,000, which had definitely changed her life forever.
Today, she’s being featured in publications like the Business Insider, Fast Company, and Fortune.
Proofread Anywhere will offer you more help and info regarding proofreading as a whole and show you how you can make money from the skills you gain.
It may not be the cheapest, but is it really worth your time and money? Continue reading to find out…
How Proofread Anywhere Works
Since you’re here reading this Proofread Anywhere review, you most likely know what proofreading is and how it works.
Nonetheless, most people mistakenly believe that proofreading is the same as editing, which is not completely true.
Although any errors found while proofreading requires editing, editing involves cutting pieces of text, reordering it, or even re-writing full segments of texts on a file/script before it reaches the proofreader.
On the other hand, proofreading is typically applying the final touches to the nearly-finished file.
It involves raking through the document while checking for errors such as spelling, punctuation, and other grammatical errors.
So, you’ll definitely need to have a strong eye for details to be a good proofreader.
This means you’ll need an excellent knowledge of English grammar and punctuation since transcripts can have so many different errors.
You’ll also need to understand various formatting styles because different transcripts may require distinct formats.
The proofreading work can be done through a desktop computer or laptop, iPad, or even on a piece of paper. It entirely depends on your choice.
However, the Proofread Anywhere course advises people to do the job on an iPad since its more efficient, which seems to be true.
Now, the course is intended to help you enhance your proofreading skills from newbie to pro and even get a job and make money this way.
Let’s move on with this Proofread Anywhere review and see what the course really entails.

You can expect to earn between $500 and $3,000 monthly in your first year by doing proofreading jobs from home or entry-level proofreading jobs online. If you’re a more-experienced proofreader, you can earn between $40,000 and $60,000 or more in a year.

The Owner Of Proofread Anywhere
As I mentioned earlier on, Caitlin Pyle is the founder and owner of Proofread Anywhere. Pyle had been fired from her 9 to 5 job when she began doing proofreading gigs.
By then, she could earn $40,000 per month from this side hustle, which was a big fortune for her after having a very difficult time. After some time, many folks got interested in knowing how she was earning such a huge income through proofreading and were prepared to learn from her.
Consequently, her little blog that focused on teaching people how to proofread court transcripts soon turned out to be very astounding. Caitlin Pyle was 24 in 2011 when she was sacked from her job as a court reporter.
The lady who fired her said she was rubbish, would die lonely, and never amount to anything in life. This seems like a bad emotional attack in many ways, right?
It was much odd since the lady who terminated Pyle was the same person who had taught her how to proofread transcripts for courts. She was earning roughly $500 per month at the time she was fired.
Therefore, Pyle would now earn much more money from the proofreading side gigs than she ever did with her official position.
Then, in November 2014, Caitlin Pyle launched the ProofreadAnywhere.com website.
This is where she demonstrated and polished her work and skills as a proofreader. At a point, she wrote a 30-pages digital book and made 15 sales within the first month, which was very inspiring to her.
In 2015, she advanced the book into a complete online proofreading course and launched it. By November 2017, Proofread Anywhere course had earned over $3.5 Million.
Today, the website has grown into BCP Media, Inc. Caitlin Pyle is now a multi-millionaire proofreading business owner who works at home and employs 40 people.
Furthermore, she currently works with different affiliates or firms such as content platforms, ScopeSchool.com, and Transcribe Anywhere, among others, within the work-at-home industry.
Reasons Proofread Anywhere Is Not For You
As you probably know, proofreading is not for everyone, and this also applies to the Proofread Anywhere course.
In case you already lack an eye for spotting errors or aren’t a fan of reading, this proofreading course isn’t for you. This is because it’s essential to have this inborn capability and love for words for it to suit you.
You can train a person to polish and enhance their skills, but you can hardly teach them to love something if they don’t. Then, if you want a way to earn cash fast and don’t have time to learn and acquire the skills, this course is definitely not for you.
I say this because it takes time to gain this skill and apply it. It’ll show if you rush since you won’t pass and proceed to the marketing part where you’ll learn how to make money by proofreading.
Pyle only allows people who’ve proven their skills to move on and learn how to get clients. After all, if you can’t understand where to add/remove those dashes and semicolons, then you have no right to charge diligent clients for messy work.
The Proofread Anywhere course is also not meant for people who give up. This is because you need to keep studying and trying to get better, even if you find some exams difficult to pass.
Work to improve your grammar and spelling skills until you become great as you wish to be. If you don’t give up, you could later enjoy making good money full-time from home through proofreading.
GOOD VS BAD
⦁ The course is easy to follow and very comprehensive with all the information you need to know about proofreading.
⦁ It goes beyond just proofreading up to showing you how to turn your skills into a business and market yourself.
⦁ You can learn at your own pace except if you decide to pay via the 4-level payment plan for the Transcript Proofreading course. You’ll have limited time access until you reach the fourth level.
⦁ It allows you access to their Facebook group where you get to communicate, ask questions, learn, and get help from other PA students.
⦁ It offers bonus reference books for both general and transcript proofreading, but these are supposedly a tax-deductible expenditure.
⦁ You pay onetime but get lifetime access to the course that you chose, unless for the 4-level payment plan that offers limited access ’til you reach level 4.
⦁ Non-refundable once you make the payment.
⦁ The price is a bit high and may not be readily affordable to some folks who could really benefit from the course.
⦁ Proofreading doesn’t give a passive income unless you create your own course and sell it, or maybe create a website and earn in other ways as you share your experience and skills. So, your earning potential is somewhat limited, although the course can help you to make money from home.
⦁ If you’re new in this field, it can take a while to learn and master the skill
