Toluna Surveys Review Summary
Product Name: Toluna Surveys
Toluna Surveys is an online paid survey site that offers a huge collection of rewards to users for completing specific tasks. It’s free to join and start taking surveys, which you’ll be rewarded with points. Upon reaching the withdrawal threshold, you’ll be able to exchange your points with gift certificates, sweepstakes, checks and even cash paid through PayPal.You’ll need 30,000 points to earn the cheapest reward (worth $10) and 90,000 points to redeem for $30 cash. It may take you a long time (1-2 months) to earn the minimum redeemable points and therefore, this site can’t help you make good passive income by any means. However, this doesn’t mean it’s a scam. What Is Toluna Survey
Toluna is an online survey company that pays you to share your opinions regarding different subjects.
You earn by completing surveys about various services and products.
This company was founded in 2000 with headquarters in Paris.
It works as an intermediary between you and big companies such as Sony Music, Disney, Protocol & Gamble, and CBS, among others.
Upon completing surveys, you’ll get points’ rewards that you can redeem for gift cards, cash payouts, among other rewards.
They even allow you to enter sweepstakes from which you can win items such as Amazon Kindle.
I’ll explain all the payment options as well as the points system later in this post.
Toluna is very community-oriented, making it stand out from many other survey sites. It allows users to chat within their platform while asking questions or just for fun. In addition, it provides surveys, polls, TV shows, battles and rewards from a wide range of topics.
How Toluna Surveys Works
Setting up an account with Toluna is simple and easy, and you get rewarded with 500 points on sign-up.
That’s around $0.17.
Once you have an account, you can start taking surveys that also seem easy and quick to complete.
These informal surveys don’t have any info about the time they’ll take you to complete, maybe because they reward fewer points.
If you come across those with higher pays (like 2,500 points), they mostly include all the information such as the time required and the rewards’ amount.
To make it clear, this 2,500 points survey would take you a maximum of 35 minutes.
You can also refer your friends to join Toluna and earn 500 points per friend.
Different methods of increasing your points include Product Testing, Mini Polls, and Battles (where you write about why you like one item than another).
Of course, these will need some extra time.
Most of the surveys will reward you with 15-20,000 points. This sounds greater than that of other similar networks, but wait until you visit the Rewards Center… this is where your dreams with Toluna starts to crush down
The Rewards Center
According to the Rewards Center, there is a surplus of options to choose from including sweepstakes, gift cards, and even PayPal cash.
Now, I know people join such sites as Toluna aiming to make some real cash from it.
So, the most important section here could be the payout through PayPal.
How many points do I need to cash-out via PayPal?
Well, you’ll need a balance of 90,000 points to redeem for $30.
If we take the example I posted earlier (35 minutes for 2,500 points), you’ll have to spend 21 hours to earn this $30 PayPal cash reward.
That’s around $1.43 per hour.
For most of the other redemption options, you’ll need the same number of points as that of PayPal.
The cheapest gift cards can cost you 30,000 points (valued at $10).
If you get one survey per day paying you 2,500 points, you’ll need around 36 days to redeem via PayPal and at least 12 days for the cheapest gift card.
Else, you’ll need to refer at least 60 people to get the 10-dollar reward.
Toluna allows you to join sweepstakes with entries costing 500 points each. This is very high compared to other survey sites that require at least 1 point for one sweepstake entry.
Therefore, is Toluna Surveys a scam? No, it doesn’t show scam signs yet. There is still more, so continue reading.
Toluna Surveys Pricing
It’s free, easy and fast to create an account on Toluna and start taking surveys.
However, it will take you a long time to earn enough cashable points and make good money here since the earning process is quite low.
Methods Of Payment
• Gift cards and Cash paid through PayPal.
There are numerous types of gift cards offered by Toluna including those from Best Buy, Starbucks, Target, among others, valued from 30,000 points.
For PayPal, you’ll need at least 90,000 points.
• Checks. If you have 75,000 points, you can request a $25 check.
But this is only for US members and may vary depending on the country you are in.
Though they aren’t available in all regions, the sweepstakes go for 500 per entry, and there are thousands of cash dollars to be won each month.
GOOD VS BAD
- It’s free to join and use every feature of the site
- It sends you e-mail notifications as soon as new surveys are available
- It allows you to earn from several methods
- Toluna offers a huge selection of rewards to choose from
- It collaborates with widely held and reputable companies
- The website is modern and very user-friendly
- Surveys are also doable from their iPhone and Android app
- You’re entered into the Toluna PrizeDraw upon completing surveys, where it gives three cash prizes to its users
- The amount of redeemable points is too high especially for PayPal cash-outs, which can take you too long to accumulate (1-2 months to get $30 only)
- Many users complain about being screened out of surveys since they don’t meet all the required conditions, which is frustrating
- It can take you around 15-30 minutes to complete the surveys. When the points for longer surveys aren’t very much, it becomes a downside
- Sometimes, you can wait for a long time to get a reward or payment after requesting it
- Your account can be disabled without any good reason. This happens mostly after you’ve collected tons of points
- The questions asked in surveys can be repetitive
Who Is Toluna Surveys Meant For (And Not For)
Toluna Surveys is a platform that serves:
• Brands and companies.
It helps them to reduce insight time by automating the research processes and get honest feedback right from their end consumers.
• Ordinary consumers.
These are people like you and me, who want to share their opinions regarding the products they use or just, interested in knowing the opinions of other people about everyday items and products.
However, Toluna is not for you if you are looking for a good source of income to cater for your needs and living expenses.
The earning potential is very low (about $1.5 per hour or less) and therefore, there’s no way you can make any good money with Toluna.
Are You Tired Of Scams?
1. Increase in minimum cash payouts.
The first complaint from Toluna users is that it keeps on increasing points for rewards.
It increased the PayPal payout from $20 (60,000 points) to $30(90,000 points).
This makes it even harder for you to rack up a substantial amount.
2. Disabling accounts.
Once you’ve collected more than enough points to withdraw, they go and shut down or disable your account without providing any good reason all.
Can you imagine how much time you could take to accumulate 100,000+ points?
How would you feel if your account gets closed without any reason and all that time becomes a waste?
3. Survey disqualification.
Members are sometimes screened out when they are only mid-way through or even after completion.
This prevents them from being entitled to the full payment.
4. Needs too much time to reach the threshold.
The worst part is that it can take too long to reach the minimum threshold. 90,000 points for $30?
As I mentioned earlier, this can take you at least 21 hours to earn this amount, which is about $1.43 per hour.
This also applies to other redemption options.
And given that you may only get surveys taking less than an hour per day, it seems to take so long to reach the withdrawal amount.
Additionally, even their sweepstakes are a bit high at 500 points.
Is Toluna Surveys A Scam?
Regardless of the user complaints, Toluna is still considered to be legitimate.
This is because it doesn’t show scam signs.
So, I can’t call it a scam.
But this will depend on you…
Do you want to earn $30 in 1-2 months working less than an hour per day?
If your answer is yes, then Toluna might be suitable for you.
But if your answer is no, then stay as far away from Toluna as you can.
It looks great in the beginning, but you’ll realize later that you are going to be earning pennies per hour here.
Also, remember about the account closure complaints, don’t you think this can apply to you.
You can’t rely on Toluna as your sole income source, and you can hardly get rich through survey sites.
They are just there to assist you with some extra income on the side.
You can take the risk and maybe earn some dollars, but this is not a way to make good money.
If surveys are your thing and need to improve your earning potential, I recommend you to sign up for more than one survey site.
Swagbucks is one of the best since it’s dependable and has great earning potential.
But remember, don’t rely on any single survey site as your only source of income.
They can’t make you rich!
However, if you would like a legit proven way to make passive income online, my #1 recommendation can greatly assist you.
How I Make A 4-Figure Income Per Month
Are you tired of scams?
Ooh yeah, me too. Luckily, I found a genuine platform that helped me to generate a 4-digit income per month in less than a year.
Happily, I’m extremely happy and willing to help you do the same.
On the internet, you’ll come across numerous sites claiming to help you make huge cash online.
Most of them promise you too huge in a short time and with less or no hard work at all.
They use a lot of hypes to entice you to join them.
Later, you come to realize that they are scams after they’ve wasted your time and even money.
You should always avoid the get-rich-quick schemes and those with a slow earning process (like Toluna) by doing proper research before joining them.
This is the only way you can make good money and even sustainable income online.
Now, I make a 4-figure income every month online.
The platform I joined less than a year ago helped me to understand how to create and operate an online business.
They offered me excellent step-by-step training and provided me with all the tools I needed.
They also gave me access to a community of active, like-minded people to help me succeed.
If you think I have to pay hundreds of dollars every month to get all these resources and earn a four-figure income, then you are wrong.
Yeah, everything inside the platform costs less than a dollar per day.
The business is straightforward to create and maintain with the offered training, but success will also depend on how much willing you are to learn and work.
If you’re ready to start your business and make the first step to your online success, I recommend you to join the same platform and send me a direct message once you are inside.
I will happily help and coach you to get your desired income online.
