Is Opinion City A Scam? It’s likely that you came across this surveys site called Opinion City through social media, email or a friend.
It claims that you make $500 per week by completing surveys.
This is so huge for surveys only and can make you wonder: is Opinion City a scam that wants to waste my time?
Or is it a legit site that will keep its promises?
I have reviewed various survey sites here, and I can tell you that most of them have very low-income potential.
You can hardly earn a significant or reliable income like the $500 claimed by this site.
Before we begin with the review, I want to congratulate you and tell you that I’m glad that you do your research.
That means you are serious about finding something legit and avoid any scam.
Opinion City Review Summary
Product Name: Opinion City
Opinion City acts like an entrance to Get Paid To (GPT) programs, market research companies, as well as their paid surveys. The business model used here is legit, but the company itself is somehow far from providing a good system. This is the simple reason why I can’t recommend this program to anyone. I wasn’t happy with the fact that the real owners of this company were hiding and using fake spokespersons. You’ll see what I mean below. Besides, their recommendation list seems to be all affiliated with survey sites, some of which have been exposed as scams!
Therefore, in my Opinion City review, I’m going to explain everything about this site and help you know what kind of a site it is.
This will help you make an informed decision regarding it.
Let’s dive into the review.
What Is Opinion City?
Opinion City is a website that connects you to other sites in which you get paid surveys.
Therefore, you’ll still need to sign up to those recommended survey sites even after registering at Opinion City.
This site is not a marketing research company or survey site itself.
It claims that you can earn up to $500 per week by doing surveys and completing simple offers.
So, I decided to register to see if it was true, though I was still very skeptical about it.
In the member’s area, I couldn’t trace my account profile, which is usually on the right top corner in most membership sites.
Absolutely, nothing on the dashboard that shows that I have logged in.
There are even no account settings.
What? Yes, this even made me think that they might be intending to misuse my information.
Now, we go to the surveys’ area.
Several sites provided there are popular and good to sign up with.
However, some sounded very new to my ears, and others were previously exposed as scams, which is very questionable.
I decided to check the Bonus Survey tab. I was shocked to see that most of the offers here are paid, meaning I had to spend money rather than making money.
Obviously, I didn’t. I would never want to waste my cash like that!
Then, there is the Coupons and Freebies tab that allows you to get discounts for purchasing on 4 places, which include: Gala, Publishers Clearing House, Mystery Samples, and Ebates.
The last tab is the “Work From Home” that has offers in which you can earn from home.
These are just other business opportunities to earn from allegedly.
How Opinion City Works
Opinion City has the main motive of making money for itself.
This is legitimate and fine to do since it’s a business like any other.
It uses affiliate marketing where it recommends survey sites to you and earns commissions once you’ve signed up.
This could range between $1 and $5 per site per sign up.
However, some of the survey sites and offers are known scams, and this hinders me from recommending you this platform.
Could you want to join a site that leads you to join bad and low-quality programs?
When we come to the Work From Home tab, all the offers listed are proven scams such as Automated Daily Income, and The Job Quitter.
If you go ahead and sign up with these offers, Opinion City will make even more cash – about $50-$100 for each confirmed credit card.
But let me warn you: there are no real opportunities to make money here.
They’re funnels leading you to costly programs that could get you to spend thousands of dollars.
Especially if you are a beginner looking to make good money online, these are hazardous products.
They might not be easy to spot, and that’s why I’m warning you to stay away as early as now.

Opinion City Pricing
Joining Opinion City is free.
However, don’t be surprised when you’re required to spend money to buy products or sign up with membership sites even those that you never wanted, in order to make money.
You could end up wasting a lot of money instead of earning.
Who Is Opinion City Meant For (And Not For)
Opinion City allows members from all over the world to join and start “making money.”
So, you can join regardless of where you live.
But it’s good to note that some of the survey sites that you are recommended might not be accessible from all countries since most of them are for the USA residents.
However, I don’t think Opinion City will help you make the money it claims you can make.
Therefore, if your goal is to make money online, Opinion City is just not the platform for you.
GOOD VS BAD
- It’s free to join
- The real owner(s) is hiding.
- You allow them to share your email with third parties.
- The reviews are insincere.
- Some of the products and sites promoted are of low quality.
- The site doesn’t allow you to earn on itself.
- Uses insistent sales tricks to make you sign up quickly, thinking you’ll be rewarded.
Before you sign up to or buy products from any website, it’s crucial to research the creator of that specific program.
Now, on the Opinion City website, there’s no “About” page or link to information that shows who the owner is.
This is a huge red flag. I never trust any site whose owners are fake or unethical.
They mostly turn out to be bad scams that intend to make a fool out of you.
I’ve seen a similar case recently while reviewing:
The only photo we see is Alyssa’s, which is on the homepage.
This is supposedly the woman behind consumer trend investigation.
However, it’s so unfortunate that this is just a stock photo available online and being used on many other sites.
According to the WHOIS info, Opinion City has listed A&A Marketing as its registrant organization.
But if you check the reviews for A&A Marketing, no one has linked Opinion City to it.
This is another red flag!
Ugly Truths Revealed
1. No way for you to earn on the site.
Like other survey aggregators, you expect to be able to earn on the Opinion City website itself.
But guess what? All you’ll see are promotional links from which the owners of this site earn commissions.
Let me make it clear; some of the survey sites promoted here are genuine for you to join and start earning, but Opinion City itself doesn’t pay you to complete surveys.
The site mentions that you’ll participate in its Facebook weekly $50-prize draw just by signing up.
But there is no proof that members have earned anything.
I looked at their Facebook page to see for myself, only to find a fresh page that was created back in 2017 and got above 23,000 likes.
However, the most recent update on that page is on 8th August 2017 at the time of this writing (March 2019).
It has been dormant since then.
This made me think; what if they even bought these likes?
Actually, even the claimed weekly prize draw doesn’t exist.
2. Your personal information is at risk!
According to Opinion City’s privacy page, they will share your personal info such as name, email, phone number, social security number, your vehicles and many more.
Then, there is a lead generation box on the sidebar that asks for your email address.
This will put you to the $50 weekly Facebook draw, which doesn’t exist as we saw above.
They just want your email so that they can start promoting dubious programs aiming to earn commissions if you buy.
Additionally, you should expect a lot of spam emails from third party sites since they’re going to sell your email to other advertisers.
3. The star ratings and reviews are fake!
This is something I noticed on Opinion City website.
All the recommended survey sites and products have 5-star ratings.
What this indicates is that those ratings are swindled to make you sign up for all their recommended sites.
4. It pressures you to sign up faster.
Opinion City uses a powerful sales technique to make you register or purchase a promoted product quickly so that they can earn commissions.
They claim that only a few spots are remaining for all offers provided.
I can tell you honestly that this claim is just a sales trick since you’ll find the same numbers if you check back the next day.
5. Huge income claims.
Opinion City provides a list of recommendations with descriptions of how each site works.
However, some of the income claims under some survey sites are very misleading.
It claims that you can earn $500 by just taking surveys on specific sites like MySurveyJobs.com.
Are You Tired Of Scams?
Is Opinion City A Scam?
I won’t go ahead to call Opinion City a scam since they aren’t taking your money and running away.
However, some of their survey sites’ listings are just scam offers that are not recommendable to join.
The site itself doesn’t let you earn anything through it, and it’s even questioned the fact that you can’t see the account info that you signed up with.
Some of the offers presented to you will require you to pay several dollars, either onetime or recurring payments.
Therefore, it’s vital to read everything before you decide to sign up to any of these offers to make sure it’s what you expect to get.
However, I don’t think paid offers are worth my time since this is not a good way to make money online.
I don’t mean spending is bad, I do spend on certain things for my online business but only ones that are necessary and direct.
It’s not like spending on things that I don’t want or would never even use.
Opinion City will just waste your time rather than making you money online.
For the many reasons explained above, I don’t recommend it to you or anyone else.
Instead of wasting your valuable time, I would like you to check my #1 recommendation below if you really want to make serious money online.
