Immunotec Review Summary
Product Name: Immunotec.
Price: $45 Membership Fee, plus a Starter Pack costing $265 – $1,130
Immunotec is a network marketing company that focuses on selling products within the health and wellness niche. It sells products that are claimed to boost the immune systems of its consumers. Additionally, it allows people to join and make money by selling their products, as well as recruiting others into the program. However, there’s too much focus and emphasis on recruitment since the company encourages its consultants with incentives to recruit more and more people. The products are expensive, and this may make it hard for you to sell them directly to customers to make money. Even worse, over 60% of all consultants earned nothing in 2016! So, is Immunotec a scam? No. Can you make money with it? Well, it’s going to be very hard to make any money, and you’ll understand what I mean as you read this review.
I’d also like to inform you that I’m not associated with this company in any way. So, I’m not going to recommend this program to you unless it’s really worth your time and money.
Instead, I’m here to provide you with my unbiased third party Immunotec Review to help you understand everything about this company. This will help you to make a more informed decision in the end.

Read this review to the end and pay close attention to understand everything clearly.
What is Immunotec
Immunotec is a Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) company that operates within the health and wellness industry. It’s similar to companies such as Amway , Regenalife , Advocare , etc. that offers people the opportunity to make money by selling their products and recruiting others into their system.
Immunotec was established back in 1962, meaning it has been operating for about 57 years now. This looks better compared to other companies that have been existing for a few years, like 5 or 10.
Nevertheless, certain information has been circulating, saying that the company celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2016. As you can see, this differs from their establishment year, and it implies that their foundation year has some issues.
Additionally, WHOIS.com data shows that the immunotec.com domain was registered from Canada on February 14, 2000. This brings even more confusion!
Allegedly, Immunotec was founded by two medical researchers, namely Dr. Gustavo Bonnous and Dr. Patricia Kongshauvn. They researched the benefits of dietary protein to improve the immune system and eventually started this company.
Now, they claim that their products are based on research, which makes them unique from most other similar health and wellness companies in the market.
The company is said to be based in various places and countries.
You can find them in California, Mexico, and Quebec. Besides, they don’t disclose where their headquarters are based, and so, this information is still vague. This is very ironical when you consider the long time they have been in business, right?
When it comes to the Immunotec’s leadership, it was hard to get one since they have frequently been changing each year. For sure, I can’t tell the reason for this often change of the CEO. But, I don’t think it’s a good thing since it can ruin their reputation.
The company supposedly has around 200 employees, which implies that it’s a big company. It has also been recognized widely enough to be among the top 100 companies in the Direct Selling News.
Furthermore, the company attained its goal of making an average annual income of $101.5 million in 2017.
Now, Immunotec seems like a good company, right? But, we need to see how this company really works to understand everything clearly. So, let’s move on to the next section of my Immunotec review.
How Immunotec Works
As aforementioned, Immunotec is a network marketing company, meaning that you can join it and make money by selling its products and recruiting others.
So, we need to look at their products as well as the business opportunity for us to understand how this company really works.
With that said, let’s start with the products.
Immunotec Product Line
Since the company has been operating for quite a long time, it has come up with a wide variety of products aimed at boosting the immune system of their final consumers. The most popular variations of their Immunocal product line include:
⦁ Immunocal, which costs $106,
⦁ Immunocal Platinum, which costs $151, and⦁ Immunocal Booster, which costs $76.95.
On top of this, Immunotec offers products such as:
⦁ Omega Gen V – costs $36.50
⦁ Daily Essentials Pack – costs $81.50
⦁ Probio 3+ with Cranberry – costs $35.25
⦁ Magistral – costs $37.25
⦁ Multi + Resveratrol – costs $35.50
⦁ Cherry Concentrate 2-Pack – costs $112
⦁ On The Go Shake (Chocolate & Vanilla) – costs $49.95
⦁ Cogniva with Syna-PS50 – costs $61
⦁ Xtra Sharp – Fruit Flavor – costs $39
⦁ Calcium-D from Milk – costs $18.95
⦁ K-21 1L – Pack of 6 – costs $190
⦁ K-21 1L Bottle – costs $38.25
Those are some of the products offered by Immunotec. Although there are no many reviews about them, I’m skeptical if these products are scientifically proven to work. Why am I saying this?
Well, health products that aim to cure or treat people need to be approved by the FDA. If they are approved, it means that they have been tested and proven to work.
It also means that the products are free from harmful potential side effects. With that said, such products are allowed to brandish the FDA seal to assure people that they’re aimed to work without any harm.
Unfortunately, Immunotec doesn’t have FDA approval to imply that their products really work. Although some people said that they work, it still could be best if they were approved.
That’s all about the Immunotec products. Next, I’m going to expound on the business opportunity offered by this company to show you how you can make money with it.
So, please continue reading…
How to Make Money From Immunotec
Immunotec is a multi-level marketing (MLM) company, and therefore, it allows people to make money in two ways. These include:
⦁ Commissions from both personal and team direct product sales.
⦁ Bonuses and commissions from recruitment and promotions.
For you to start earning, you’ll need to join the company as a consultant and pay the required fees. Then, you’ll need to buy a starter pack that comes with products to get you started in the business.
Once you make sales and recruit people into your downline, you’ll be rewarded according to the compensation of Immunotec, which I’m going to show you in a sec.
Immunotec Compensation Plan
In regards to the Immunotec compensation plan, you can make money in several ways as a consultant of this company. You can earn retail profits from product sales, as well as commissions and bonuses from recruitment.
As a consultant of Immunotec, you can achieve up to seven ranks. Therefore, your income will also depend on your rank.
You’ll need to create a huge active downline team to move up the ranks, and this is normal for all MLM businesses.
Below are the ranks that you can attain in Immunotec:
⦁ Gold⦁ Diamond
⦁ Executive Diamond
Now, let’s see the various ways through which you can make money from Immunotec.
To earn these profits, you simply need to purchase Immunotect products at a wholesale price and then sell them to customers at a retail price. As a consultant, you’ll earn 30% Retail Profits from all product orders made via your replicated website.
Customer Autoship Wholesale Profit
When customers sign up for the auto-ship program, they are allowed to buy the products at a reduced price. On the other hand, consultants can earn a Wholesale Profit on the customers’ monthly auto-ship orders.
You can earn the Customer Bonus depending on the total amount of CSV (Customer Sales Volume) accumulated. Naturally, you’ll earn higher amounts of cash if you have higher CSV.
CSV refers to the total sales volume purchased from the company by your first level customers.
Business Builder Bonus
When you assist your team members in selling the Immunotec’s products, you’ll be rewarded with a Business Builder Bonus.
Immunotec’s consultants can earn the residual commissions on the sales generated by their downline teams. That’s why they are encouraged with incentives to help team members sell the products effectively, as well as mentor their members and grow their teams.
Allegedly, you can earn a residual commission of 10% based on the Commissionable Volume (CV) generated by you and your team.
Moving Up Bonus
If you move up a certain rank and maintain the same sales volume for consecutive months, you’ll receive the Moving Up Bonus and Accelerated Moving Up Bonus. To move up the ranks, you’ll need to sell tons of the company’s products as you assist your team members to do the same.
Sponsor Moving Up Bonus
Upline consultants who are good at leading, helping, mentoring, and supporting their team members can earn the Sponsor Moving Up Bonus and Accelerated Sponsor Moving Up Bonus.
Besides, you can earn additional incentives if you reach the Diamond, Executive Diamond, and Platinum ranks. These may include paid vacations, dinner celebrations, business planning sessions, and recognition events, among others.
That’s all about the compensation plan of Immunotec, and you can check it out here if interested.
Now, I know you may be wondering; how much does it cost to join this business opportunity? Well, continue reading my impartial Immunotec review, and I’ll show you in the next section..
When it comes to joining Immunotec, I couldn’t find much info about their registration fees though it’s said to be about $45.
After paying this fee, you’ll then need to purchase a starter pack that cost between $265 and $1,130 and comprise of various products. This will get you started, and you’ll become a Consultant for Immunotec.
You are supposed to sell the starter pack’s products to recover your money and even make some profits.
Additionally, you’ll get a replicated website to help you sell your products online. Now, the problem with such sites is that they never rank high on Google since all their content is duplicated.
I mean, the website you’ll get is the same as the one given to all other people who join Immunotec. I hope you understand, don’t you?
This means that unless you have a very good experience in online marketing, this replicated website won’t earn you any money.
Let’s now look at the advantages and disadvantages of the Immunotec Company..
GOOD VS BAD
⦁ The company has been in business for quite a long time.
⦁ It has a diverse product line.
⦁ The compensation plan looks good and also diversified.
⦁ The BBB accredits it with a perfect A+ rating.
⦁ The products are overly priced.
⦁ The only way to make a colossal income is to recruit tons of people.
⦁ The health niche is already so saturated.
⦁ You’ll face high competition, even from non-MLM companies that offer the products at a lower price.
⦁ Over 60% of the company’s consultants earned nothing at all in 2016.
⦁ It’s not clear where Immunotec’s headquarters are based.
⦁ It’s not clear when the company was founded.
⦁ The company doesn’t have great leaders, and it has been changing the CEO frequently over the years.
⦁ Bogus claims that the products can substitute a doctor’s prescription.
⦁ The opportunity can hardly give you a full-time income.
The founders of Immunotec are Dr. Gustavo Bounous and Dr. Patricia Kongshavn. They created their products after 15 years of medical research that they both headed and established the company supposedly in 1962.
However, as I mentioned earlier, there’s an issue with this foundation year due to the info circulating, which claims that the company celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2016. The confusion is also brought by the WHOIS.com data, which shows that the company’s website domain was registered in 2000.
I couldn’t find much information regarding these two founders. Nonetheless, Dr. Gustavo is an Italian who studied from The University of Turin and the University of Genoa. He was learning research and specialized in surgery at the Indiana Medical Center.
In 1963, Dr. Gustavo moved to Canada and became a surgery professor at the Université de Sherbrooke, after which he went to McGill University for the same job. This service earned him the renowned Canadian Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons medal.
That’s all I could find about the founders of Immunotec. Now, I’m going to show you what the people who have joined this company are saying so you can see their experiences.
What Are Immunotec’s Users Saying
The Better Business Bureau (BBB) has accredited Immunotec with a perfect A+ rating since 2015. However, there are no complaints, and only three reviews recorded on the website. I also found some mixed reviews on GlassDoor.com.
Although the company and their products look great, the reviews are mixed up despite being very few. Some people are claiming that Immunotec is a great opportunity with great products while others complained about the lack of good leadership and teamwork, as well as expensive products’ costs.
One of the reviewers also mentioned that the company’s location is unclear.
I believe you’d like to see the reviews and complaints yourself and therefore, I took some screenshots for you:
Immunotec’s Ugly Truths Revealed
1. Overly Expensive Products!
Although the sign-up fee looks fair, Immunotec’s products are excessively expensive. In fact, many people complained about the costs being higher than those of similar products on Amazon.
However, this doesn’t surprise me since it’s very common in the MLM industry, especially in the health and wellness niche. This is because they don’t control the manufacturing costs fully, and they also need to pay their distributors.
In the end, this leads to high costs for wholesale and retail, making it somewhat difficult to make sales and earn profits.
2. The Products Aren’t FDA Approved!
As I mentioned earlier, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) doesn’t approve the products offered by Immunotec. FDA doesn’t approve any dietary or natural supplements used in the treatment and prevention of known diseases and illnesses.
Additionally, the company doesn’t provide any info to show that their products follow the specified safety standard like the CGMP. This is a requirement to comply with the Good Manufacturing Practices of the FDA.
So, I think this is something to consider when deciding to purchase and use the Immunotec Products. This is because you can’t be sure about the potential functionality and side effects of these products.
3. Most People Fail!
The ugly fact about MLM business opportunities is that the majority of their participants fail to make any money. And Immunotec is no different!
According to their income disclosure statement 2016, over 60% of Immunotec’s consultants earned nothing typically in 2016. Don’t you believe me? Here is the proof:
Only less than 5% of all consultants make some good income, above $500 monthly before expenses. Probably, these people joined the company when it was new in the industry, and they are very few, as you’ve seen in the picture above.
You can check out the Immunotec’s 2016 Income Disclosure Statement here for more details.
The truth is that you won’t be able to make good money with this program unless you already have a very good experience in direct selling and recruiting. That’s why I don’t recommend you to join MLM companies if you want to make good money online.
They all work similarly, and it’s very hard to make money with them. Here are some examples of other related MLM’s:
Are You Tired Of Scams?
Is Immunotec A Pyramid Scheme
According to my research, Immunotec is not a pyramid/Ponzi scheme. Some people may think it’s one because it uses a pyramid-like structure to compensate its consultants.
However, this company is different from a Ponzi scheme, and I’ll tell you why. A pyramid scheme is a program that’s solely focused on recruitment.
This means that people can only join and refer others to join, nothing more. Such a company generates revenue through the recruitment of new members, and that’s how it pays its associates.
Additionally, such companies don’t have any products or services to sell to customers or for their affiliates to promote to make money. In contrast, network marketing (or multi-level marketing) is a program that also has recruitment, but that’s not their only means of making money.
They do have products and/or services to sell, and their distributors can also make money by promoting them. Can you see the difference?
MLM participants can make money through recruitment and sale of products/services, while Pyramid Scheme members can only earn by recruiting new members. I hope you now understand the difference between MLM’s and Ponzi schemes.
With that said, Immunotec is not a pyramid scheme since it has real products that its consultants can sell to make money. It has been likened only because it has a recruitment system that uses a structure similar to a pyramid.
Now, let’s head on to the next section of my Immunotec review and find out if it’s a scam or not.
Is Immunotec A Scam
After reading this thorough review, you may be wondering; is Immunotec a scam? Well, Immunotec is not a scam but a legitimate MLM company.
It has been around for about 57 years now, and the authorities would have already shut it down if it were an illegal scam or Ponzi scheme. It was founded by leading network marketing entrepreneurs and scientists, and has grown to be one of the companies with a long history in the health and wellness market today.
It has a wide product line that includes Immunocal, skincare products, and other nutritional supplements. Moreover, the company allows its consultants to buy the products at a wholesale price and sell them to retail customers to make profits.
Besides, the company offers incentives and bonuses to encourage consultants to recruit more and more people and build a strong downline team. There are also incentives for training team members and helping them to make sales.
Therefore, if you know how to recruit many people and make sales, you could be able to make money with this opportunity.
However, Immunotec products are overly costly, which may make it hard for you to make sales as a consultant. Maybe that’s why the majority of their consultants failed to make any money at all!
As we saw in the company’s 2016 income disclosure statement, over 60% didn’t earn anything. Probably, it’s because they lacked recruiting and direct selling skills, or they didn’t like the products they got in the company. At the same time, the high cost of the products may have affected their potential to make sales.
Therefore, although Immunotec is not a scam, it’s definitely not for everyone. This is also because not everyone is excited or experienced in recruiting. Yes, you can make a good income here if you’re good at direct selling and recruiting.
Otherwise, you’ll most likely fail to make any considerable income with this opportunity. With that said, I’m not going to recommend Immunotec to you, especially if you wanted to join to make money with their business opportunity.
I honestly hope that you’ve found my Immunotec review helpful, and you’ll now be able to make a good final decision that’s more informed about joining it. However, if you were looking for a real legit way to make a good income online, read below to see what I recommend.
How I Make Income Online
Personally, I’m not a fan of MLM businesses since they have such huge costs and many restrictions involved. Rather, I like, use, and highly recommend the Affiliate Marketing business model for anyone serious about making money online.
The simple reasons for this are that you aren’t required to recruit anyone to make money or restricted to promote products from only one company.
If you want to learn how to do it efficiently, I recommend you to check out the training platform that helped me to understand everything about how the business works. It’s called Wealthy Affiliate, and you can join for free here.
Anyway, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading my unbiased third party Immunotec review and got all the info you needed to know about it.
